We are Milan and Sarah, students at Tomorrow University with a passion for climate impact and digital innovation. During a course on technology trends, we faced the challenge of including charts in our report that were in the wrong language and had the wrong colors. After manually editing these charts, we thought: how cool would it be if there was a tool for that?

So, we decided to build one. We explored various AI tools for data extraction as a first feasibility check. Then we set us a time limit of one week to further evaluate technical implementation and desirability, create an initial screen design, and build and test the tool. Our passion for solving user problems and our background in digital product and software development fuelled our motivation to create ChartAI.

ChartAI is a small hobby project that allows us to share our experiences while we journey towards building a climate tech startup.
